By Komodo Cabin Charter Editorial Desk

Reach the Komodo Cabin Charter desk on WhatsApp at +62 811-3941-4563 or by email at bd@juaraholding.com. Send your dates, number of guests, whether you want a cabin or the whole boat, a budget band and your questions. The desk answers questions, and nothing binds either side until there is a written offer.

What should you send the desk?

Five facts and your questions. With those, a reply can deal with your actual trip on the first pass. Without them, the first reply can only ask for them.

What should you send the desk?
SendExampleWhy it changes the answer
Dates, plus any room to shiftSecond week of June, can shift three daysSalam Ransel describes departures set boat by boat, so flexibility widens what you can consider
Guests, with the ages of any childrenTwo adults and a child aged 14One TourRadar listing sets a minimum age of 15, and Neptune Liveaboards bills children at the adult rate whatever their age
Cabin or whole boatPrivate cabin with its own bathroomKomodo Trips' terms put packages and charters on different price bases, so the two are separate conversations
Budget bandPer person or for the party, in your currencyIt tells us which parts of the published rates are worth discussing
A boat name or quote, if you have oneThe boat's name and a link to the listingKomodo Resort cautions that a boat can sit on several agents' lists, so the name is what makes a comparison possible

Date flexibility deserves a line of its own, particularly at short notice. Casa de Capulet, a Labuan Bajo guesthouse, offers working rules for booking a boat that run from a couple of days ahead in November to March up to two or three weeks in June to August. Phinisi Trip suggests booking three to seven months ahead. Those two pieces of advice are far apart, and neither one is a rule. Our piece on booking lead times looks at why, and telling us how close your date is helps more than asking what is usual.

How should you write the message?

Keep it to one message, with the facts first and the questions numbered. A long story is welcome later, but numbered questions get numbered answers, and nothing is missed. English is fine, and so is a rough draft typed on a phone. Here is a pattern you can copy and change:

Dates: 12 to 14 June, can move up to three days either way.
Guests: two adults.
Looking for: a private cabin with its own bathroom on a shared trip.
Budget: a band per person, in your currency.
Already quoted: boat name and listing link, if any.
Questions: 1. Are park fees normally outside this kind of fare? 2. What should I ask about the cabin layout?

A few habits help. Say which channel you prefer, because a reply on WhatsApp reads differently from an email with attachments. If you already hold a quote, paste the wording instead of summarising it, since the terms usually sit in the exact words. If your date is close, put that in the first line. And if a question is about a line on one of our pages, include the page address, so that we are looking at what you are looking at.

What should you leave out of a first message?

Less than you might think is needed at this stage. Please do not send:

  • Passport scans or passport numbers. Casa de Capulet's account has guests sending these so that an operator can register them for the park. That step belongs to a confirmed trip, not a first question.
  • Card numbers, bank logins or one-time codes. No question here needs them, at any stage.
  • Money. Do not transfer anything on the strength of a chat, or on the strength of this site.
  • Detailed medical records. Saying that someone has a dietary, medical or accessibility need is enough for now. Neptune Liveaboards, for its part, wants notice of such needs two weeks ahead, so do raise them, just without the paperwork.
  • Documents for children. Their ages are all that matters at this point.

You also need not send a full travel plan, flight numbers or hotel bookings until they bear on a specific question. If you are unsure whether something is needed, leave it out. It can always be asked for.

What can the desk answer?

The desk works from this site's sourced guides and from your request. It can usefully:

  • explain what a page means, and where a figure on it comes from;
  • read a quote you hold against our booking method and point to what is missing;
  • suggest which questions to put to a seller about cabin layout, capacity, fees or terms;
  • tell you whether your request can move towards a written offer.

Some things it cannot do. This site holds no departure calendar or cabin inventory and keeps no waiting list, so the desk cannot hold a cabin or tell you what is left on a given boat. It cannot speak for the park authority or the harbour authority, and it does not give legal advice. Many common questions have a short sourced answer on our FAQ page, which may save you the wait.

On contracts, the position is simple. The site itself signs nothing, and our disclaimer names the company behind each kind of contract. Any fee and payment terms are stated in the offer. People who write to us can end up contracting with one of those companies, so read what we send as sceptically as you would read anyone else's.

What happens after you write?

Expect a conversation in stages, and stop at whichever one suits you:

  1. A reply on the channel you used. It either answers your questions or asks for what is missing. We do not publish a reply time, so say so if yours is urgent.
  2. A check on what you want. Some people only need a question answered, and that is a complete result. Nobody has to go further than that.
  3. A written offer, if your request goes that way and one can be made. It names what is being offered and who is contracting, along with the terms. Until you have this, nothing has been promised, whatever a chat may have sounded like.
  4. Your decision. Compare the offer with others if you like. The same six steps apply to it.

Only after an offer is accepted do passport details and payment come into it, and then in the order the offer states.

How do you report a wrong figure?

Every price on this site comes from a third party and carries the month it was checked, so figures do go stale. If you see one that looks wrong, tell us, whether you are a traveller or a seller whose own listing is being reported. These four things make a correction quick:

  • the address of the page on this site, and the line in question;
  • the figure or policy you believe is correct;
  • a direct link to where it is published, because a screenshot alone is hard to date;
  • the date you saw it.

We go back to the source before changing anything, and where sources disagree we say so on the page and do not pick a winner. Corrections to a boat's facts or a policy are welcome by email, where a link and a date are easy to keep together.

What other questions do people ask before writing?

Can I book a Komodo phinisi charter through an online platform?

Yes, marketplaces such as GetYourGuide and TourRadar list 3-day Komodo trips with their own terms. This site has no checkout. The desk handles questions and requests by WhatsApp and email.

Does it help to say my dates are flexible?

Yes. Departures on Salam Ransel's list vary by boat, so a few days of movement can open up boats that a fixed date rules out. Tell the desk how far your dates can shift.

Can the desk hold a cabin for me?

No. This site keeps no cabin inventory or departure calendar, so nothing can be held here. Holding a cabin is a matter for the seller of that boat.

Can I ask about a quote from another seller?

Yes. Paste the wording and name the boat, and the desk can point to what the quote lacks when set against our booking checklist.

Should I send my passport details now?

No. Keep them until a confirmed trip needs park registration, and then send them only to the party handling that registration.

Which sources support this page?

The seller policies quoted on this page come from the companies named, as published when we checked in November 2026.

How do I reach the desk?

WhatsApp +62 811-3941-4563 suits short questions. Email bd@juaraholding.com suits long quotes, links and corrections.
