By Komodo Cabin Charter Editorial Desk
Komodo Cabin Charter is an English-language guide to per-cabin phinisi trips in Komodo National Park, with a request desk, run as a specialist brand under Juara Holding Group. The site itself is not a contracting party. Most figures here come from sellers rather than government, and each one names its source and the month we checked it.
What is Komodo Cabin Charter?
It is two things side by side. The first is a reference guide for people about to spend real money on a shared or private boat in Komodo: how the format works, what sellers publish, where those sellers disagree. The Komodo cabin charter guide on our front page is the place to start. The second is a desk that answers questions and takes requests.
This site holds no cabin inventory and keeps no departure calendar, so you will not find a list of open cabins here. It is not a government body, a park authority or a law firm, and nothing here replaces advice from those people on a legal or medical question.
Pages are prepared by the Komodo Cabin Charter Editorial Desk and carry that byline rather than a personal one. Our rule for every page is the same: answer the question directly, say who made each claim, and say so plainly when we cannot confirm something.
Who issues contracts for requests made here?
The site never signs anything. If a request goes as far as an agreement, the contract comes from one of three companies, depending on the work.
| Type of contract | Issued by |
|---|---|
| Brokerage, central agency, charter marketing and commercial representation | PT Komodo Bahari Nusantara |
| Boat management | PT Komodo Vessel Management |
| Construction, repair, refit and vessel sale | PT Komodo Galangan Nusantara |
For most readers of a cabin guide, only the first row is likely to matter. Any fee and payment terms are stated in the offer, and only that written offer binds anyone. A reply from the desk on WhatsApp or by email is information, not a booking.
You should weigh our guidance knowing this: requests through the desk can lead to a contract with these companies, which gives us a commercial interest in your decision. We state it here so you can read our opinions with that in mind. Where a guide helps you judge an offer, test ours as you would any other. The disclaimer sets out the same position in formal terms.
Where do our figures come from?
Mostly from people who sell Komodo trips. That is an uncomfortable fact for a guide and it is better said out loud. Rates, deposits and cancellation terms are written by agents and operators about their own products or boats. Even the park ticket reaches you second-hand: Neptune Liveaboards, an operator, reports the regulation and the rate, and we have not found the park authority's own tariff notice to compare.
So we label by type of source, because each type is reliable about different things.
| Source type | What it is good for | How we treat it |
|---|---|---|
| Operator | Its own terms, boats and working practice | Named; a seller with its own interest |
| Agent | Published rates and booking conditions | Named; applies to that agent's range |
| Marketplace listing | The terms of one listed trip | Named; not treated as a pattern |
| Local guesthouse guide | Practical advice from on the ground | Named; called a working rule when it says so |
| Traveller report | What happened on one boat on one trip | Never generalised |
| Media and court reporting | Events and official statements | Credited to the outlet |
| Official or encyclopedia page | Background and public health advice | Credited; preferred when available |
A figure on this site belongs to the seller who published it. It is not a market average and it is not our offer. Komodo Resort makes the reason concrete in its charter guide: one vessel can reach the market through several agents, each at its own price. A number with no seller attached tells you very little. Our page of published cabin charter rates shows how this works in practice, with seller and month beside every figure. Prices stay in the currency the source used, and we do not convert them.
We also tell you when two names are one voice. Asik Travel also publishes labuanbajotourism.com, and Komodo Resort and Neptune Liveaboards appear to belong to one business group. Agreement between such pairs does not count as two confirmations.
How do we handle sources that disagree?
We show the disagreement. We do not pick the number we like, average the figures, or build a range out of two sellers' claims, because any of those would create a figure nobody actually published.
The daily limit on Padar Island is our standing example. Komodo Island Tour, an agent, reports 60 a day. Casa de Capulet, a guesthouse guide, gives roughly 200. Samara Liveaboard, an operator, describes three daily sessions each limited to 300 visitors. Those cannot all be right, and we have no official notice to judge them by, so our page on site quotas sets them out without choosing.
A second case concerns who pockets a charge. Komodo Resort's fee guide lists a per-person harbour fee, while Neptune Liveaboards treats such a line as a boat cost passed along. The two appear related and still say different things. The park fees guide treats this as open.
In practice our handling comes down to a short routine:
- Name each source and what it claims.
- Say which kind of source it is, and whether it has something to sell.
- Note any link between sources that look separate.
- State that we cannot settle it, once, and tell you what to ask.
- Leave the amount out of the prose where it would read as settled.
How do we correct an error?
Write to the desk with three things: the page address, the sentence or figure you think is wrong, and where the correct version is published. A seller correcting its own rate can simply send the current link. We open that source, compare it with what we printed, and change the page if the source supports it, updating the month shown beside the figure.
When a correction cannot be confirmed from a public source, we do not simply take the new figure on trust. We may mark the point as uncertain instead. Corrections from sellers get the same check as anyone else's. To send one, use the contact page or the addresses below.
What should you not rely on this site for?
Do not pay anything on the strength of this site alone. Rates change without notice, and a page here can lag behind a seller's site. Live availability of a cabin, a boat or a park place, the final price on your date, and a decision on whether a given boat is safe for your trip all sit with the seller, the operator and the authorities. Use our pages to work out what to ask, then get the answers in writing from whoever will take your money.
What do readers ask about this site?
Can I book a departure directly on this site?
No. This site holds no cabin inventory and no departure calendar. You can send a request to the desk, and only a written offer from the contracting company binds anyone.
Is this an official Komodo National Park source?
No. It is not a government body or a park authority. Park figures are reported here as operators and guides state them, with the source named.
Can a request here lead to a contract with your companies?
Yes. That is our commercial interest, and it is why we ask you to test our offer as you would any other.
Why might a rate here differ from the seller's own page?
Because rates can change after the month we checked them, and one vessel can be offered by several agents at different prices. The seller's current written price is the one that counts.
How do I report a wrong figure?
Email bd@juaraholding.com with the page address, the figure and a public source for the correct version. We check that source before changing the page.

How do I reach the desk?
Questions, source corrections and requests all reach the same desk: WhatsApp 6281139414563 or bd@juaraholding.com. If you are a seller named on a page, say so in your message, so that we can check your correction against your own published terms.
Send the desk your dates, group size, and cabin or whole-boat preference. The desk replies in writing.
